Does anyone have any ideas for curbing fence jumping in a large dog?
I foster sporting dogs — pointers and mixes. I only have a 4 foot fence and while most dogs are respectful of that fence I have one that is not. I have tried EVERYTHING I can think of to stop it – a no-jump harness (still allows climbing and stretching), and backpack with weight in it, dragging a flexi-leash, a gentle leader while dragging a leash, tying mylar balloons to the fence, and the only thing that seems to work is me holding a leash with him on the other end (obviously).
I DO NOT BELIEVE IN SHOCK COLLARS so I am looking for any other alternatives or ideas anyone may have or things that have worked for you.

The dog simply can’t be outside without a leash.
Unless you are willing to add a secondary level to the fence to prevent jumping, he’s going to have to be exercised & worked on leash or someplace with a higher fence.
