how to allow the maggots to flow down stream with no sinker ?
im trying to find a way to catch trout grayling etc . the river is quite snaggy so i try and just fish split shot bunched together about 2ft from the hook . the split shot hold the bait down but not on teh bottom .is this the correct way ???
Sounds good to me. the water may be moving different day to day so just regulate the size of the weight you are using. If it’s not movin too fast you can use a float with the weight right above the hook to hold the bait close to the bottome without snagging on the rocks or trees on the bottom.
