My guinea pig got spayed on Thursday, when will she be back to normal?
She survived the operation but now all she does is lie in the cage and sleep/not move for hours on end. She is eating and taking the medicine given to us by the vets, but she is not her normal self at all. She is very lethargic. She has also got discharge coming out so her bottom half is constantly very wet.
If you have experience of this, when will my little guinea be back to normal? (bar the stitches?)

She is 4 years old if that helps and the reason she got spayed is cos she had two huge cysts in her ovaries or womb.
You certainly can spay and neuter guinea pigs!!!
It may take a few days. But don’t worry, shehe will be fine soon. Your piggy is still recovering. As long as shehe is eating, drinking and taking medicene OK, heshe is fine. Soon your piggy will be the same old piggy she used to be. =)
