Durability, Strength, And Long Life
The rope should be abrasion resistant so that it doesn’t snap or fray easily. Synthetic rope has the benefit of having been created specifically for the purpose it’s intended and yachting rope uses polyester because of its unique properties. Natural materials do not offer the same combination of strengths and benefits that the polyester offers.
