Pack Furled

Pack Furled
What kind of berry is this?

It almost looks like a rasberry, but I’m not sure.
My grandma said it’s a mulberry, but it wasn’t on a tree.
It’s not letting me log into photobucket, but I’ll do my best to describe it and upload it asap (if possible).
We live in Texas (the outskirts of Houston) and we were in the park walking in a trail, and it was just on like a stem like all flowers, no leaves, just the one berry. They were kind of spread out, the little stem things.
Very much on stems like this:

but it’s very similar looking to a rasberry, only where you pick it, it’s green in the center and fades out to pinkish then all around is red. It’s probably about 1/2 inch, but we’re moving soon and my mom packed the ruler, lol.

Any idea on what this may be?

Call the bariumBayou nature center or the Brazos Bend state park, I’m sure they can help.
