How do you fish muddler’s minnows, wooley buggers, and streamers?
could someone give a few pointers on using these. like where do you use them, what kind of water, how to retreive them. also, what kind of line/leader do you use?
Im not going to go as in depth on this question as i did on your other question-simply since these flies are very easy to fish.
Muddlers-created of spun deer hair, they float and so a 6ft co-polymer leader is fine on a floating line, slowly twitch them across the surface.
Woolly buggers and general streamers-fluorocarbon leader, subsurface and an intermediate line-unless they are weighted you can use a floating line, darker colors for darker waters and overcast days, brighter colors for clearer bright days. There isn’t much to fishing these, vary the types you use and leader length, anything up to 9ft is fine, try different retrieves.
