How do I know if I have a concussion or any type of head trauma?
I got height with a handle bar in the left lower back part of the head. Ever since then I feel a non-stop pounding and have been sleepy. also a bit heated. I’m probably going to the doctors tomorrow, but I just need to know now.
If your vision has NOT changed (seeing double, blurry, spots, moving/floating spots) then I wouldn’t worry a whole lot. Right now what concerns me is the drowsiness. How long ago did this whack to the head happen? Try not to get any sleep until a MINIMUM of SIX hours later. If you can, have somebody watch you for signs that your every day activity is different like speech changes, body movements, coordination changes, walking, falls. They can also help you stay awake for the 6 hours I mentioned. Between now and when you go to the Dr. if your head looks like it might be swollen, get your butt to a hospital immediately! That could be bad for your brain.
