My Guinea Pig has stopped sneezing, and is still eating. Am I safe until morning?
I just asked a question, and I cannot get my babies to a vet right now, so I called my veterinarian friend across town and she said she’d come over first thing in the morning.. at like 6:00 AM, two hours before work.
She told me to re-direct the air-conditioner and move my cage somewhere slightly warm and dust-free, and to give them something warm. I did what she asked, and they seem absolutely fine now. My baby Prowl, the one I was more worried about, is chewing on some grass right now and hasn’t sneezed much.
Though Blackout seems.. a tiny bit sick. I gave them some more hay and she nibbled on it. Though when I stick my hand in the cage to stroke her, she comes right up to me and sniffs and licks my hand, because she knows I give her food.
And they’ve been sneezing since day one, I think it was the dust or the feathers in my blankets. I’m not sure, but I feel very careless.
Now my real question; are they going to be alright until morning?
The will be OK until morning, and i doubt it has anything to do with any thing you have done, they came from the pet store ill OK. In the sneezing stage they are not close to death, but they can go into they heavier stages of URI and we do not want that to happen. They will be OK until the vet gets there.
