Besides material of the shaft, one factor that affects sensitivity of your rod is the handle construction that is more often than not are made from cork or foam. You should guarantee that the handle feels comfortable in your hand along with it is not too soft or otherwise you may not be able to feel those abovementioned subtle bites. What’s more is that it is crucial to be able to feel the movement of the bait if you are fishing with any type of artificial lures through the rod to ensure that you are tempting the fish in the proper manner.
