Chronically dry hands?
I live in Calgary and the air is really dry, especially in winter, and I unload trucks in a warehouse. My hands are absolutely always dry to the point of cracked skin. They hurt and they look really gross. I put hand lotion on (I’ve tried everything from Vaseline to Glaxal Base) probably every five hours or so, and when I put it on it makes my skin soft but it also stings because my skin was so dry, and then they go right back to their scaly glory within the hour! The rest of my skin stays really nice and moisturized all day, it’s just my hands. Help?
After applying hand lotion, put on thin work gloves and see if that offers longer protection. I put on hand lotion every couple of hours here in Vancouver, where it’s wetter and not as cold.
