Why do I never see the lobster sized Crayfish from California used for food?
years and years ago in California at my cousins forgot where might of been sorta near San Diego you could hike back into the woods and there was this long big creek went on for miles. They have crayfish you could catch the biggest ones were nearly a foot!. Whenever I have ordered crayfish they are always these lil tiny things maybe 2-3 inches like you see in the creek behind my house in Maryland lol. Are crayfish bred for eating or are they always caught out in the wild? Anyone know the name of the species of the big ones from cali? People should farm and market those giants. Do they have lobster on the west coast? Might be fresher if people ate these crayfish then fly lobster across the country from Maine.
allegedly, they don’t taste as good as the small ones when they get that big
