Dozen Humpy

Dozen Humpy
Anyone know this 1970′s scary version of Mother Goose book?

I was born in 1973, so the book was printed around 1975-76 +/- a few years either way. All I remember is that I loved it, but it scared the hell out of me.

The book was a large book like 14″ wide and maybe 18″ tall with maybe 30 pages or so. Of course that may be way off considering I was four or five at the time.

The stories in the book that I remember were, “Three Blind Mice” and “Humpy Dumpty.” It had others but I don’t remember them to specify them here.

The drawings were very dark and spooky, lots of black and dark browns/blues etc. The monsters had big eyes and big teeth. The book had/has a Tim Burton feeling (only 20 years early!)

I’ve searched a dozen librarys, local used book stores, and Amazon over the years and have never been able to find it again.

Can you help?

If you had this book but can’t remeber the title or anything, can you add what you remember in your answers. Maybe together I can find this old scary book!

I have looked and looked for this mother goose version. I had hoped to find it in my states library system, but to no avail. To bad you can’t remember more. The cover maybe?
Hopefully there is someone out there who remembers.
