if i use 14lbs mono when fishing what size fluorocarbon should i use?
I’m looking at bass pro xps line is it any good? Also what size line should i spool on my flipping rod it has 35lb. Monofiliment line right now.
If you can’t see fluro as well shouldnt I size up the line when switching from mono to fluoro. Any advice will help. I fish mostly for large mouthbass and stripers in the delta. In CA.

I agree with the rest- 20-25LB Fluro, (or Mono) would be the highest test “filament” or “carbon” you should spool on your reel for Bass fishing.
Why?
#1. It’s “over-kill” in most instances, (Heck, they catch Offshore species with 30LB line), and as you move into 30-35-40LB line it becomes harder & harder to manage, (and flip) on your baitcaster.
If your fishing super-thick “jungle” and need that kind of strength I suggest you spool your reel with a good 40LB Braid and tie on a Fluro leader of 30-35LB. A good Surgeons Knot or Albright Knot works well for this type of connection…

10/40 Power Pro Braid is MUCH easier to Flip than 35LB Mono/Fluro! And with a 10LB diameter you may not NEED a leader.
