Use A Wow Leveling Guide
Leveling in World of Warcraft has changed dramatically recently. As you probably already know, Deathwing burst forth from Deepholm and flew all over Azeroth causing many problems for everyone. The entire 1-85 leveling process has changed, and it’s great to have a wow leveling guide to help you through the changes. For a lot of people, just figuring out what zones will take you where and how the leveling is spread across them is helpful, so i’ve got a breakdown here for you by race! Your very own simple wow leveling guide, for those of us who don’t need any extra help. First we’ll go over really quick the alliance leveling paths, then the horde, which will give you a good idea on one good way to take your new character on the path to World of Warcraft greatness!
Alliance has 4 major areas to start off at, on Kalimdor they start at Azuremyst Isle for the Draenei, and Teldrassil for the Night Elves, Worgens also end up in Darnassus after they finish their starting Area Gilneas, but that is in Eastern Kindoms. For humans, you start out at Elwynn forest outside stormwind and dwarfs and gnomes are outside Ironforge in Dun Morogh. Once you get up to ten, choices start comin at you, for all races there is a new setup now that can take you to 20 without real huge travel times which is great because you don’t get a mount until level 20. Humans go from Elwynn forest to Westfall and on from there to Redridge mountains where they can make at least level 20. Dwarves and gnomes work their way through Dun Morogh, and can head over to Loch Modan to get to level 20. Dreanei can stay in their starting area Azuremyst isle, and bloodmyst Isle up to level 20. Night Elves and Worgen both go to Darksrhore to make level 20. At level 20, you start getting more choices, and you get into neutral areas, which both factions can start using. For those races that are on Kalimdor, Dreanei, Night Elves and WOrgen, you go next to Ashenvale, which takes you through 25. From there you head to stonetalon mountains which will bring you to 30 and yet again more choices. You can easily go either to Desolace or Southern Barrens, but whichever one you choose it’s easiest to follow the progression in that direction. SO if you go to Desolace you do Feralas which gets you to 40. If you go Southern Barrens you head to Dustwallow Marsh afterwards to get 40. From there both zones shove ou into Thousand needles then Tanaris, Un’Goro Crater, and Silithus to make it up to 58. See you can now do all your leveling on one continent! Oh happy day!
If you’re Dwarf, Gnome, or Human you can do all your leveling on Eastern Kingdoms. Dwarves and Gnomes will go from Loch MOdan to Wetlands, Arathi Highlands to the Hinterlands, then a quick trip up to Eastern Plaguelands, which will get you up to 45. Then it’s a flight back down to the Badlands, Searing Gorge, and Burning Steppes to get up to 52. From there it’s a little walking to get down to Swamp of Sorrows and finally Blasted lands to get yourself up to 58. For Humans it’s a different story. After you finish up Redridge Moutains and make level 20 it’s off to Duskwood, Northern Stranglethorn, and then the Cape of Stranglethorn to get to level 35. From there you can do one of two things, you can head over to Kalimdor using the boat in Booty bay, and finish up your leveling to 58 there starting at Dustwallow Marsh, or you can join up with the Dwarves and Gnomes and head all the way up to Eastern Plaguelands and finish up their route to 58. As you can see there’s many different choices and ways to do your leveling. The best idea is to reduce the travel time as much as possible and do things that are the closest. This will speed up your leveling a good amount.
Horde has also 4 major starting areas, we’ll do Kalimdor first again. Orcs and Trolls start off in Durotar to get to level 10, and in Mulgor you can get your Tauren up to 10. Goblins level to 10 in their starting areas as well and end up in Orgrimmar, with orders to head to azshara. So Orcs, Trolls and Goblins will go to Azshara after level 10 head into Ashenvale, over to Stonetalon mountains to get to level 30. Tauren go to Northern Barrens, up to Ashenvale, and also go to Stonetalon Mountainst to get to level 30. Again just like the alliance they can choose either desolace, feralas, then Thousand Needles, or Southern Barrens, Dustwallow Marsh, then Thousand Needles, it’s personal prefrence which route you take. After Thousand Needles it’s Tanaris, Un’Goro, and Silithus to get up to 58, Kalimdor is a nice self contained leveling area. Eastern Kingdoms is nearly the same as the alliance with a few differences at lower levels. Undead start off in Tirisfall Glades, and go to Silverpine Forest for level 20. Blood Elves do Eversong Woods, then Ghostlands to get to 20. From there they both will go to Hillsbrad Foothills, Arathi Highlands, The Hinterlands, and up to Western Plaguelands, over to Eastern Plaguelands. Then you start following the Alliance, Head down to Badlands, Searing Gorge, Burning Steppes, Down farther to Swamp of Sorrows, and finally Blasted Lands to get to 58.
OK now you know exactly what zones to use for your class to get you to Level 58. From there it’s easy, and the same for both factions, go to outland, then Northrend, and finish up doing the 80-85 zones. There is a lot more to leveling quickly than just figuring out which path to take through the world. If you don’t know how to play your class well, you’ll be stuck dieing quite often becuase the new setup is a little more harsh when it comes to actually using your class. This though is something we’ll cover in another guide, maybe even give you some basic rotations for each class just to get you started. Or you can of course use one of the best guides out there that has all thsi for you already to get the info even faster and easier. Until then though, enjoy this romp through the updated zones of World of Warcraft
